Holly is a 2022 Graduate!

"12 years of school have flown by. It feels like yesterday I was screaming and crying to not go to school."

Holly began her high school journey at Rampart High School. Her freshmen year she made the JV volleyball team,
and because of that, began her journey to populatiry. Soon people began to know her by name, and same with teachers.
They reconized her hard work on and off the court. She enjoyed where she was, had good friends, and was close with her teachers,
specifically, her french teacher, and her programing teacher.

"My freshmen and sophmore year, I became really close with my French teacher, Madame Tornquist. She ultimatly became my advisor,
and helped me become who I am today. I would tell her thank you over and over again, because she pushed me past my limits and always
knew I could be better. I credit some of my success to her. Same goes for my programming teacher Mr. Bradford."

Holly's sophmore year was affected by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, which she tells to be a blessing in disguise.

"I remember clearly sitting in my third period English class, my teacher telling us that we were moving to online learning and
that we are living through history. At that time, I was struggling in school, I could not focus or get work done on time. I procartinated
every assignment I had unless it was easy. When we moved to online learning, I found my strength in how I learn best. It was a blessing because
I didn't have to get up at 6 a.m. every day and get dressed to sit through hour and half classes which were hard to focus in. I was able to take my
time and work at my own pace."

The summer of 2020 Holly took Marine Biology online for the summer to help with her GPA and to give her something to do. She enjoyed every second of it.
Closer to the school year, Holly and her family started researching where her course teacher taught (Mrs. Redinger). Eventually, they found that she taught at
the Village. Her parents allowed her to transfer, as they had an online program and she could be home and work at her own pace. She was accepted, and The Village
is where Holly finsihed out her junior and senior year.

"To everyone at the Village, thank you. I appriciate you taking me in and having the most supportive teachers out there. You guys are why I am here today. And to my
family; Mom, Dad, you guys have supported me since the day I was born. Andy, the best brother out there, you work so hard, and I'm always here for you. I love you guys
so much. Thank you for all your love, support, and putting up with me through hard times."

Holly finshed her high school career lettering 3 times in volleyball, making second team all conference her senior year, and honor roll for 4 years.
She will be attending Missouri Southern in Joplin, MO this fall to study Industrial Engineering -- Logistics and Transportaion, with a minor in computer science.
